Rümeysa Öztürk, 30, is expected to appear remotely at the court hearing in Burlington, Vermont, more than six weeks after she was arrested.

A Tufts University student who was arrested by immigration officers in March and has since been held in a Louisiana facility is claiming that her health is declining while she remains detained there.

A federal appeals court on Wednesday ordered that Rümeysa Öztürk be transferred to Vermont from Louisiana, where she has been held since being taken into custody in March.
