NEW DELHI] Air India is reducing its international service using widebody planes by 15 per cent as the nation’s flag carrier grapples with the fallout from a fatal Boeing 787 crash last week and an Israel-Iran clash in the Middle East.

K. Dinesh, a retired wing commander with the Indian Air Force, who now runs Cockpit Vista, a flight anxiety treatment centre in Bengaluru, said there has been a manifold increase in the inquiries he has received since the accident.

Air India said on Wednesday it will cut international operations on its widebody aircraft by 15% for the next few weeks, citing ongoing safety inspections and operational disruptions following last week's deadly crash of one of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
