Angel City defender Savy King was hospitalized in stable condition a day after she was stretchered off the field because of what's being called a “medical event” during the National Women’s Soccer League team’s match against the Utah Royals.

Angel City FC's Savy King collapsed during a match, received emergency aid, is responsive, and sparked debate over game continuation.

The National Women Soccer League said in the statement Saturday that Angel City Football Club defender Savy King “currently remains stable and will be undergoing further evaluation.”
