Former Louisville Metro Police Department detective Brett Hankison was sentenced to 33 months in prison after being convicted of excessive force in connection with the raid that killed Breonna Taylor.

During a press briefing on Thursday, a reporter asked White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt about a request by the Department of Justice to the judge presiding over a case involving the killing of Breonna Taylor to only sentence the officer responsible for her death to one day in jail.
