Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney will apparently have to wait until Friday to have his vote counted in the 2024 presidential election. According to Swinney, a balloting mix-up with his legal name and his son's — both named William Swinney — prevented the Clemson coach from voting on Tuesday.

Dabo Swinney, like many Americans, wanted to exercise his right to vote on Election Day. The problem is that, when he arrived at his polling location, Swinney was told he had already voted. During his press conference ahead of Clemson's game against Virginia Tech,

Dabo Swinney said he was just "trying to do my best, be a good citizen and go vote" on Tuesday like other Americans on Election Day. However, a snafu at his local polling place kept him from getting to the voting booth.
