Every festival in India is celebrated with great enthusiasm, and one of the most notable is Navratri. Although Navratri occurs four times a year, Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri hold special significance.

Sources at District Puja Udjapan Parishad office said the Durga Puja festival will begin on October 9 with the performing of Moha Sashthi Puja and conclude on October 13 through immersion of idols of Goddess Durga and other deities in different water bodies after Bijaya Dashomi celebration.

Durga Puja is set to occur from October 8 to October 13 in 2024. Known as Durgotsava, this festival honors Goddess Durga's triumph over Mahishasura. C

Though the festivities begin from Mahalaya, the celebrations start from the sixth day – Shashthi. On this day, the idol of Goddess Durga is unveiled, and her presence is invoked.
