Important steps in Lewis Hamilton ’s adaptation have reportedly emerged following his second F1 test with Ferrari. According to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hamilton was able to familiarise himself with the procedures that manage the start and how the Ferrari clutch is operated.

Lewis Hamilton says his first race as a Ferrari driver “can’t come soon enough” with the Briton’s pre-season run in a 2023 SF-23 curtailed when he crashed in testing. Hamilton’s new career path as a Ferrari Formula 1 driver began in earnest last week when the Briton spent time at the team’s Maranello headquarters before climbing into the cockpit of an SF-23 for 30 laps of the Fiorano circuit.

Ferrari have confirmed that their 2025 F1 car will be called the SF-25, in line with their last two Scuderia challengers. Lewis Hamilton will debut in scarlet red this year and is set to drive the SF-25 for the first time at the official three-day pre-season test in Bahrain from 26-28 February.
