The price of gold has broken numerous price records already this year. Here's how to capitalize on that growth now.

As of 9 a.m. ET, gold was trading at $2,677.35 per troy ounce. That price represents a change of 0.67% from the same time yesterday. Since the start of the year, the price has shifted up 29.57%. Over the last day, the lowest price for an ounce of gold was $2,649.86. The highest price in the previous 24 hours: $2,685.61.

Gold, traditionally perceived as a haven, has climbed roughly 30% this year, outperforming the benchmark S&P 500 index’s 20% gain. That has in part been driven by a jump in demand from central banks including in China, Turkey and India, who have added to their gold piles this year to diversify away from the US dollar.
