With the PV5, Kia has declared its intention to compete with heavy hitters like the Volkswagen ID Buzz, Ford E-Transit, Mercedes eSprinter, and Ram ProMaster EV. There are very few electric vans on the market today, but that looks to be changing with these new entrants.

Kia’s electric PV5 pickup will likely offer single- and dual-motor configurations. The truck is designed for commercial customers, catering to businesses’ needs. It will use Kia’s e-CCPM platform, though technical details remain undisclosed.

Kia is scheduled to reveal more about the new van on February 24, with interior and powertrain details scheduled to be released three days later. Unfortunately, due to current tariff laws, it's unlikely the PV5 lineup will make its way to the United States, so this is one vehicle we'll have to enjoy from afar.
