With the trade deadline three weeks away, the Red Sox are still treading water in no man’s land.

A group of MLB executives, led by Jim Bowden, has predicted the Boston Red Sox will cut ties with one of their more valuable players this season.

Chapman is 3-2 with a 1.29 ERA and 1.9 WAR in 38 appearances with Boston this year. The seven-time All-Star and former Reliever of the Year has also racked up 15 saves.
