Texas has hired Xavier’s Sean Miller to take over the Longhorns basketball program. Texas is turning to the coach who just knocked the Longhorns out of the NCAA Tournament.

Sean Miller is leaving Xavier to take over as head coach at Texas. Miller, 56, was in his second stint at Xavier and took the Musketeers to the NCAA Tournament this season. After winning its First Four game against the Longhorns,

Terry, 56, had been in charge at Texas for three seasons. He took over during the 2022-23 season after Chris Beard was suspended and subsequently led Texas to a Big 12 tournament title and run to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.
