EXCLUSIVE: Following a competitive bidding war, Sony Pictures has landed the project Grandgear from Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki and Bad Robot. The studio has greenlit the pic with Yamazaki writing original screenplay,

Yamazaki earned plenty of praise thanks to his previous movie. Godzilla Minus One opened with Kōichi Shikishima ( Ryunosuke Kamiki) suffering a traumatic experience due to an encounter with the titular monster.

It was recently announced that Godzilla Minus One writer and director Takashi Yamazaki is returning to direct another Godzilla movie for Toho. Well, it turns out the filmmaker was offered a lot of other directing gigs following the success of his first Godzilla movie,

So with the limited knowledge that we have of it being written, directed and having VFX from Takashi Yamazaki, here are three things that I definitely want to see (and two things that I definitely don’t want to see) from the next installment in the current Godzilla era.
