Giuffre became a public figure when she came forward in 2010 as an alleged victim of Epstein, the late financier who died by suicide in his prison cell at age 66 in 2019, and Maxwell, 63, who is currently serving a prison sentence for child sex trafficking in connection with Epstein.

Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, has died by suicide at age 41, her family told multiple news outlets on Friday. Giuffre met Ghislaine Maxwell in 2000 while she was a teenager working at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.

"Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking," her family said in a statement.
