Apple Inc will announce a domestic manufacturing pledge of $100 billion on Wednesday that will focus on bringing more manufacturing to the United States, a White House official said.

Trump meeting will mark the rise of Apple's total investment in the U.S. to $600 billion over the next four years, a White House official said.

Trump announced a framework deal with Japan on July 22, including a 15 percent tariff on Japanese goods, down from a threatened rate of 25 percent. The president also said Japan would invest $550 billion into the U.S. and "open" its economy to American autos and rice.

Just hours before an Aug. 1 deadline expired, the US president imposed sweeping new tariffs on imports from global trading partners, escalating an aggressive trade policy aimed at reducing the US trade deficit.
