Dec 9, 2024 · I look at it slightly differently. Clingan/Ayton is a solid C rotation. Just use Ayton in that role. Having lots of expiring deals at the endo of the 25-26 season could be very helpful (unless the FO does something tremendously stupid). Don't get me wrong, if you could move Ayton, Simons, Williams or Thybulle for draft assets, you do it.

He's gone from a player that was inconsistent his first two years to being a good defender and excellent interior scorer who really punishes the other team whenever he gets a good matchup. I think he's headed for a All NBA selection within the next three years.
