It sounds so simple, but honestly…breathing. It was insane how short a breath I could take. My body wouldn’t even allow me to take a full deep breath anymore. Deep breaths seemed shallow, like I was gulping for air after just two seconds in. Reminding myself to breathe deep and slow whenever I remember has changed, well, everything.
