At the end of May we were hired to create and video document the build process on one of our most intricate and complex commission projects to date: a fullscale Moa from WARFRAME! Evelynn's claws! I spent a lot of time working to make these as accurate to the KDA models as possible. Evelynn has huge finger daggers and hovering plates over each of her medial/proximal phalanges that attach to *nothing*! After thinking of solutions (slip for rings, elastic, silicone bands) we eventually settled on a far easier solution: fashion tape! Each digital tip spike is an ABS FDM 3D print, ran on my Ultimakers. Smaller plates are .040 styrene vacuumformed over printed bucks. Held up w

Had this edit kicking around in my head for a minute, finally found time to sit down and knock it out. Wylder's Shield from @eldenring Nightreign, part of three replicas we made last month for @bandainamcous! Mostly foam with a few printed parts and a cast resin handle. Cut mostly with my angle grinder and air sanders, weathered to a rusty crusty finish, then sharpened probably far more than a wall display prop should be. Once, one of my staff artists asked me to double check a drill location on a large disc. I grabbed a sharpie and said "center is about here" then I went over to grab a center gauge and teach them about the tool and how to use it. Turned out my quick eyeball mark was dead on perfectly centered.
