The CSX family tree goes back almost 200 years and, much like the diverse employees who make up our #ONECSX team, it's comprised of many heritage railroads. CSX locomotive shop employees are creating special paint designs for our predecessor railroads and recently unveiled CSX Locomotive 1827 which honors the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, the first common carrier railroad in the United States. | CSX

Help us welcome the newest addition to the CSX heritage fleet: Locomotive 1851, honoring the historic Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway (NC&StL). Operating from 1851 to 1957, the NC&StL was a vital freight and passenger route, connecting communities across Tennessee and into other southern states and driving regional growth. A big thank you to our #ONECSX team in Waycross, GA, for helping CSX keep NC&StL's legacy alive with this commemorative locomotive. | CSX
