Cut back to the Pocket Coming in the the final reform wave at JR where I love to play on the easy foam piles. After burning most of its energy coming into shore the breaking water at the end of the ride is only about 30cm on top of the surface. It’s really fun to do one last cutback, accelerate into the pocket and use that speed to bump up to the top of the foam and pivot the kayak in the aerated water. Easy to do in a surf kayak, a bit more practice to pull off in the sea kayak. 🎥 @lycette_c |
