This is the Trendelenburg Test. We use it to check the strength of your Gluteus Medius (your side-butt muscle). Its main job is to keep your pelvis level when you stand or walk. If your opposite hip drops when you stand on one leg (a “positive” test), it means that standing glute isn’t stabilizing you.
